Maci Bookout was one of the stars of Teen Mom OG. At the time, she was with Ryan Edwards, and they shared a son, Bentley. However, they soon broke up. Now, Maci is married to Taylor McKinney.
The two have two kids together, and Bentley also lives with them. Maci and Taylor talked about some family planning a few years ago. The former wanted to get off birth control and suggested Taylor get a vasectomy. However, it seems they might still expand the family through different means. Maci even revealed she is okay with adopting a child.
Teen Mom: Maci Says Adoption Isn’t “Off The Table”
Maci and Taylor are already parents to three boys, Maverick, Jayde, and Maci’s son Bentley. They had even considered stopping at three kids at one point. Since getting off “birth control” wasn’t an option for Maci, the Teen Mom star suggested Taylor get a vasectomy. However, Taylor wasn’t “crazy about the idea of a vasectomy.”
Taylor and Maci understood each other’s concerns and reservations. Maci also said they were “OK” with being “on different pages.” But that doesn’t mean there are no other means to have a child. Both science and society are very advanced now, and having children is easy. So, the pair is still okay with one such option.
In an exclusive interview with Intouch, Maci discussed the pair’s decision. She also revealed whether they wanted to expand the family. They have very “specific expectations and goals” of what they “want to be able to provide” a child. She and Taylor are “not in the right space” for another pregnancy, but there is one thing that is acceptable.
The Teen Mom star talked about “fostering” and “adoption.” Maci said it would never be “off the table.” However, it might not happen now as “it’s just not realistic.” She worried they “wouldn’t be able to give everything” to the baby. So they might adopt a baby, but that might happen in the future, not now.

Recently, fans were shocked to see Ryan celebrate Easter with Maci and Bentley. Maci also shared a photo of the family from the celebration. The Teen Mom star is now discussing how the celebration went and the experience with Ryan and his girlfriend, Amanda.
Talking with Us Weekly, Maci said she was proud of the progress Ryan had made. She revealed that he would be “a year sober” in a week and was “doing really well.” The star also said that her ex has been making efforts “over the last year.”
Maci is happy her son Bentley can have “all of his family in one spot.” She has supported Ryan, wanting him to be in Bentley’s life. In fact, her husband Taylor gave Bentley and her the courage to support Ryan. She credited Taylor for his support in establishing a positive relationship with Ryan and Amanda.
