Having kids means always taking care of their health. And if there are many of them, you must be careful because if one person gets sick, others might soon follow. Teen Mom star Kailyn Lowry also went through something similar during the past week.
Kailyn is a mom of six children. And recently, her 1-year-old son Rio went to the hospital to have his tubes put in. However, a few days later, the situation became a potential nightmare for the star.
Teen Mom: Kailyn Reveals Her Recent Health Scare With Rio
As a mom of 5 kids, Kailyn likes to stay on top of things. She always wants to ensure that she cares for them in the best way possible. But even though she might be trying her best, nobody can change outside factors.
In her recent Coffee Convos episode, the Teen Mom star shared one such experience. Kailyn revealed a health scare she experienced with Rio that led to her having to quarantine him.
In the episode, the Teen Mom star revealed that the incident occurred a week after her son’s hospital visit. They had gone to the hospital on December 29, 2023, to get tubes put in Rio’s ear. And then, on January 7, 2024, she got a “call from the Department of Public Health”. They told her Rio might have been exposed to a “certain virus,” though she assured fans it wasn’t COVID.
Kailyn recalled panicking after getting the phone. She revealed that Rio had already been around with the other kids at that point. The panic was so much that she convinced herself that Rio had the virus symptoms.
The Teen Mom star had to keep the rest of her children back from school, though, without a daycare because she didn’t know Rio’s situation yet. The Department told her to bring Rio to the hospital. And after “hours” of examining Rio, the doctor told her Rio might be “a positive case.”
The hospital thought Rio got the infection from “out-of-state.” Kailyn saw the doctors’ lack of communication and confusion, which frustrated her. She explained to them that Rio’s hospital was “up north.” But the story ends on a relatively good note. The Teen Mom star shared that Rio was negative but had to be in quarantine until January 19.
Teen Mom: Fans Think Kailyn’s Joke Wasn’t Funny But “Disgusting”
Kailyn Lowry loves Instagram Q&As. The Teen Mom star does these sessions to interact with her fans. And she insists no topics are off-limits. So, of course, fans took her up on the offer. One fan asked Kailyn about “getting spayed” and when she planned to do it. She thought she gave a funny and quirky reply, but the fans weren’t on the same page.
The MTV star posted the question’s reply on her story, writing, “Eh, maybe after I have triplets or quads.” She also added a bathroom selfie in it. Kailyn might have thought the fans would have a good laugh. Turns out, they hated it. Many could not believe she wanted to have more kids, and that too, triplets and quadruplets.
Fans took to Reddit and voiced their anger. Many fans called the star “disgusting.” Others labeled her reply as “sickening.” And one fan theorized that Kailyn either had a “possessive personality” or a “breeding” fetish.
