His ex-wife, Jenelle Evans, also accused him of “assault by strangulation.” He allegedly strangled her son, and now he will have to appear in front of the court for trial. He will appear in front of the judge next week. David has charges of child abuse and strangulation for attacking Jace on September 2023.
According to reports, they have scheduled David for a non-jury criminal court hearing in Superior Court. The court will conduct the trial on February 4. This is his final hearing, so it is compulsory for him to appear. According to the CDM calendar, they hold a felony case trial at least twice. They held the last one in David’s case. As per the proceedings, the court will conclude the trial. The State has filed for the disclosure certificate, and David has even submitted his own.

Former Teen Mom star David Eason faced strangling charges for attacking Jennelle Evan’s son, Jace. In his last trial, the court and David will negotiate and discuss the case to reach a conclusion. The team will also set the deadline for filing the remaining pre-trial motion. Afterward, they will decide the pre-trial date. The state has also assigned a public defender for David.
David has the same defender assigned to him for all his criminal cases. Authorities also accused him of violating Jenelle’s house premises and trying to steal expensive items. He and his girlfriend were arrested. After the court proved his guilt, he had to wear an ankle monitor. Since David was unemployed, he could not pay for an attorney, so Jenelle had to cover his costs. If the jury proves David guilty, the court can imprison him for 2 to 20 years. He may also face a $10,000 fine if it is a second-degree felony.
