Like most divorcing couples, Mackenzie and Ryan also have issues. But unlike ordinary people, they are reality TV stars. This means the fans know everything the Teen Mom pair does, including their divorce process.
Their divorce is ongoing, and things are turning ugly. Mackenzie felt she and the kids were in danger, so she asked for a restraining order against Ryan. But in an interesting turn of events, the Court has asked both the stars to stay away from each other!
Teen Mom: Court Gives Ryan & Mackenzie A Mutual Restraining Order
As public figures, Ryan and Mackenzie’s divorce is also a public matter. Fans already know Ryan had tried to harass Mackenzie at her workplace. The star was also scared he might harm the kids, so she asked the Court for a restraining order. She had also been worried that Ryan might take things further the next time.
But there has been an interesting development in the case. Mackenzie had filed for the restraining order in March. The hearing for the order was on April 8, 2024. Ryan and his lawyer attended the hearing, but Amanda and Ryan’s parents didn’t. The Tennessee Hamilton County Court had dismissed the Teen Mom star’s petition “with prejudice.” But there is more.
Apparently, the Court replaced the petition for a protection order “with a mutual restraining order.” Thesun also reported that the documents reveal Ryan and Mackenzie can not contact each other for two years. However, their lawyers will have to “cooperate to establish a time and procedure” so Ryan can take his things from the family home.
The order also includes Mackenzie and Ryan’s “significant other(s).” It says Makenzie can’t contact Ryan’s girlfriend Amanda, and Ryan can’t contact Mackenzie’s husband Taylor. The Teen Mom stars can’t contact each other’s employers as well. But there is one additional clause. Mackenzie can only communicate with Ryan’s family regarding “visitation with” the kids.
Teen Mom: More Conditions Of The Mutual Restraining Order
The Court has granted Ryan and Mackenzie a mutual restraining order. Mackenzie and Ryan can’t communicate with each other and the other’s significant others. The only thing they can discuss is “visitation with” the kids.
However, Mackenzie had asked for a temporary ex-parte order against Ryan. The Court had granted it. So, the Teen Mom star has to follow a few more conditions. He can’t “abuse, threaten, hurt or try to hurt or frighten” his ex-wife or kids. Putting fear in them is also against the rules. The Court also barred Ryan from stalking Mackenzie and the kids.
Another rule is that Ryan can’t hurt Mackenzie or the kids’ animals. The second rule is that the star shouldn’t damage Mackenzie’s property or interfere with the home’s utilities. It looks like Ryan has many rules to follow. Would he be able to stick to all these? Do you think Ryan will break the conditions?
