Cory Wharton and Taylor Selfridge are living everyone’s worst nightmare. The Teen Mom stars discovered that their daughter Maya had Tricuspid Atresia from when Taylor was only 22 weeks pregnant. The couple has a hard time seeing their little toddler in pain from her heart disease. Doctors advised an open-heart surgery for Maya in the new episode. However, it wasn’t an easy thing for her parents. The latest Teen Mom edition featured little Maya undergoing the worst phase of her life. The Next Chapter stars burst into tears as the 7-month-old underwent open heart surgery. On July 26, MTV featured Wharton and Selfridge telling Maya how much they love her. Initially, she had to be in the hospital for 4 days.
However, Maya had to spend 9 days due to some major complications in the case. Further, the 7-month-old baby remained unconscious during all those days. In fact, she had a hard time breathing after her left lung got filled with fluid. The father of the fighter kid Cory shared how painful it was to see his little girl on a ventilator every day. Further, the Teen Mom episode also had a glimpse of Maya covered with tubes all over her face. However, the little princess is now doing well. Yet fans got emotional to see Cory’s little girl going through the painful procedure.
