Chelsea Houska and Coel De Boer discovered their passion for home decor and furniture when they built their house. The couple spent several hours planning, designing, and finally renovating their dream home. It is when they realized they could do so and also wanted to do the same for other couples. Hence, the former Teen Mom couple started with it and got an offer from HGTV to start their own show, Down Home Fab. Chelsea and Cole work with their clients while being shot for the show. In a recent episode, things got heavily emotional for the couple as well as their clients.
Chelsea, Cole, and their team transformed the house of Kansas and Danny. The couple lived in South Dakota and had a budget of $80,00 to spend on re-decorating their home. The former MTV stars made sure to retain the essence of the place while also making some sheer adjustments for the couple. Chelsea revealed in one of the episodes that she wanted to preserve the character of their customer’s house. They chose areas to keep original while adding modern updates to other parts of the house.
The former Teen Mom couple also removed columns to add more space to their house. They also added a black storage cabinet unit in their living room alongside a floor-to-ceiling transformation of their kitchen. The HGTV fame couple did the sweetest thing by placing a few family frames in their house. Kansas could not control her tears and expressed her heartfelt joy towards it. Chelsea stated that it is something that the kids would look up to and grow. Moreover, even Cole got emotional and could not say anything because his eyes had also welled up.
Teen Mom: How Is The Couple’s Down Home Fab Going?
There have been a lot of conflicts since Cole and Chelsea announced their new show, Down Home Fab. On one hand, they had admitted to leaving Teen Mom because they wanted to protect their kids from cameras. While on the other hand, they also signed for a new show within a year. However, the couple revealed that HGTV had promised only limited involvement in the kids’ lives, which eased them.
Although the show had a low rating initially, it grew with time. Down Home Fab gained popularity and started spiking in its ratings with time.
