Teen Mom: Bar Smith Arrested On Shocking Charges!
Teen Mom alum Bar Smith faced an arrest on July 7. He is facing multiple charges, including two felonies: second-degree kidnapping and coercion of domestic violence with the threat of or using physical force. Additionally, he faces a misdemeanor charge of harassment and a charge of Contempt Of Municipal Court. According to Thesshley, these charges stem from an incident that took place in Henderson Township in Nevada.
The publication noted that a second-degree kidnapping charge typically applies when the offender holds the victim against their will without causing actual harm. Notably, no Child Endangerment charges were filed, suggesting that the Teen Mom star did not allegedly kidnap his daughter.
The Contempt Of Municipal Court likely relates to Smith’s failure to pay child support to Ashley for their daughter Holly, with the overdue amount reportedly exceeding $5,000. There is an arrest warrant out for Bar from July 4 in Henderson for “Failure To Pay.”
Smith is currently in jail. $35,000 is his bail price. He is to appear before a judge on Tuesday for a Pre-Trial Custody Status Hearing. It is not clear if Smith has an attorney at this time. Moreover, the details about the incident and the victim remain unknown.

Smith and his estranged wife, Ashley, broke up sometime in 2023 with Smith posting a breakup announcement on Instagram. However, he later deleted it. “I have had amazing times and learned so many things from Ashley. I will forever be grateful for everything but unfortunately, we have come to unforeseen issues and people grow apart,” Smith wrote in May 2023.
“There is no specific blame being placed on either end but we had both respectfully agreed to part ways [and] continue with life unfortunately without each other I will always be there when I’m needed and so will she, but the time to separate has come.”
In a May episode of Teen Mom, Siren accused Smith of being unfaithful during their relationship. “Something just told me to check the phone records,” she explained. “I believe, whether it was emotional or physical, it was some relationship that was going on for multiple months behind my back.” Despite their separation, the pair continues to keep their daughter as a priority.
