Teen Mom star Ashley Jones has kept her own feelings aside and wants her daughter to have a relationship with her dad, Bar Smith. Holly wanted to meet her dad in person, and Ashley tried to see what she could do about it. It is quite a tough decision on her part, as Bar once held her hostage.
Bar was arrested in July 2024 due to multiple felony charges. He further had misdemeanor charges, including kidnapping. Bar kidnapped Ashley and held her hostage in her own house. Recently, he was released from prison but had to follow several rules. Ashley messaged the District Attorney’s Office about Bar. Now, the office has replied to her. Her daughter can finally meet her dad lawfully.

Ashley Jones is making sacrifices for her daughter, Holly’s happiness. She is keeping her biases aside. Ashley asked the District Attorney’s Office if Holly could meet Bar. The latter is in prison for kidnapping and holding Ashley hostage. The office emailed her back and shared that the father and daughter duo could have a video call. Ashley wants them to have a relationship.
Moreover, she wants to take the legal route. Ashley added that she could have an opinion, but Holly wanted to meet Bar. She thinks he is not a danger to his daughter. As a mother, she is responsible for making it happen. So, she messaged the authorities. She wanted to “safely and lawfully facilitate a visit” with Bar. The office replied that it’s okay to have non-threatening communication.
Ashley told Holly that she could meet her father over a video call. The little girl was over the moon with happiness. She also thanked her mom for making it happen. They were allowed to have a video call after dinner. Ashley then asked Holly if she understood why they couldn’t meet him in person. The little one innocently replied that because the authorities did not allow it. Ashley responded, “Yes, they won’t let us do it in person.”
Holly is exceptionally close to Ashley. She also gave her the progress report and said that she got a B. Ashley replied that’s okay as she got a grade higher in computer. Holly looked excited and thanked her mom as now she could finally see her dad.
