Amber Portwood was a part of Teen Mom OG’s reunion episode. Along with her, the showrunners also invited her ex Gary Shirley for the same. Together the former couple has a daughter named Leah. She is Amber’s firstborn and eldest child. Although Shirley has full custody of the child, Amber has been making many efforts to be a part of her life. But, alas, Leah is aware of her mother’s terrible conduct in the past and tends to avoid her most times. So, when the couple began talking about their daughter at the reunion episode with Dr. Drew, things didn’t land well.
Gary came clean in front of the television about revealing Leah’s secret. Before that, he assured that he had his daughter’s permission to do so. Turns out, his child has been under therapy and dealing with all the trauma caused by her parent’s divorce. This angered Amber. According to her, she found it wrong that her ex hid this news from her. That’s because Leah is a child, so her “mother should know about such things.”
