The Sister Wives family was never the same after Robyn Brown entered the picture. She is known for her evil tactics that ultimately led to the downfall of the Browns. The family patriarch Kody visibly preferred Robyn and her children over his other wives: Meri, Janelle, and Christine Brown, which was the most apparent during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This favoritism caused significant chaos within the family, leading to tension not only between the wives but also straining the children’s relationship with their father. Viewers are convinced that Robyn managed to push the other wives away by manipulating Kody, frequently crying and portraying herself as a victim. She presented herself as more easygoing than the others and obeyed Kody’s rules without questions.
This led to Kody’s favoritism towards her, which many believe was the root cause of the Brown family’s end. However, this is just one aspect of Robyn Brown’s manipulative schemes. So, why is Robyn the most unlikable character on Sister Wives? Is she worse than Kody? Continue reading to find out.
Sister Wives: Robyn Puts Kody On A Pedestal!
Robyn has never been a fan favorite or even remotely liked by viewers. Her unpopularity began with her first appearance on the show, where she began laying out her manipulative tactics slowly by surely. Fans also can’t stand her frequent crying on the show, often referring to her as “Sobyn Robyn.”
They suspect that many of her actions are more typical of a monogamous wife rather than one of the Sister Wives. She is also often seen trying to monopolize Kody’s attention, focusing him on her and their five children instead of his other wives.
One of Robyn’s most notorious moments came in Sister Wives season 6 during her purity speech. She expressed that she was upset over how her former husband, David Jessop, took her purity, and she couldn’t save herself for Kody. She then gave Kody a locket as a symbol of her purity for him.
This speech was delivered in front of her three children she shared with Jessop. Interestingly, this scene ultimately led to the TLC star divorcing Jessop and becoming Kody’s fourth wife. Moreover, it was also likely the beginning of the Brown family’s downfall.
Sister Wives: Robyn Is Manipulative & Controlling
Since joining the Brown family, Robyn claimed she wanted to live like one of the Sister Wives, but her actions told a different story. She often took away Kody’s attention from the other wives while pretending to be a team player. She presented herself as easygoing and rarely complained about Kody’s actions.
Unlike the other wives, Robyn mindlessly obeyed Kody. She treated their time together as a vacation, which led to Kody favoring her over others. This also caused many disputes in the family, eventually pushing Kody into a monogamous marriage with Robyn without him even realizing it.
Kody has often expressed his disappointment over his past relationships’ failures. During a Sister Wives: Talk Back part 2 special, a viewer named Jeff praised Robyn and Kody’s relationship and suggested that they should own their connection.
Before Kody, known for his outbursts, could lash out again, Robyn covered his mouth. This revealed her true controlling nature. It is evident that the Brown family was never stable again after Robyn and Kody’s relationship began. For more exciting Sister Wives updates, stay tuned to TV Season & Spoilers.
