When the former was just friends with the polygamist, she introduced him to a new girl who was barely 18. So, Kody and Meri decided to wait for her to come of age before they included her in the family. After this, he welcomed Janelle as his second wife.
It turns out that Christine never assumed that Kody would consider taking the young mystery girl as one of his wives. So, she allegedly told the Brown family head that she would never marry him if he ended up marrying the teen. At last, the third wife also became part of the family. Yet, Kody remained interested and also got engaged to the same anonymous woman.
