In the video, the little celebrity was seen playing with a bunch of cherry tomatoes and a small cucumber. However, unlike what fans expected, Padron defended her decision of letting her baby girl play with the cherry tomatoes. She reasoned with her followers explaining how she was sitting right beside Avalon and wouldn’t have let anything happen to her. Moreover, she also added that the young celebrity already has four teeth suggesting that it wasn’t risky to feed her the tomatoes. Mykelti then called out the people who had called her a “careless” mother.
However, fans on Reddit are getting angrier explaining that it’s still dangerous for Avalon to consume or play with the cherry tomatoes even if Mykelti was sitting beside her. In fact, some of the Reddit users shared some pretty scary personal experiences. On the other hand, as per a detailed article by Whattoexpect, “Raw fruits and vegetables, especially small round ones like cherry or grape tomatoes, are a top choking hazard for children under 4”. Whereas, another article by Babygooroo lists several things that can become choking hazards for children also includes cherry tomatoes. Doctors suggests that kids under the age of 5 should not be fed whole and round foods like grapes and cherry tomatoes.
Even though Mykelti suggests otherwise, many of her followers think that she was at fault. Moreover, they say that the Sister Wives star should’ve accepted her mistake and learned from it.
