Kody and Robyn Brown from Sister Wives are on a roll right now. As mentioned above, they have been making a lot of hefty purchases. Fans first heard of them putting their 2019 Flagstaff mansion on sale for $1.65 million. But they sold the place for a profit of $1.75 million. Viewers earlier thought that they will move out and downgrade into a simpler place but the couple bought a new $2 million mansion.
The brand new mansion is a 7,784 square foot property with 6 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, and a guest house, plus a detached RV garage with space for 7 cars. Viewers are quite impressed by this purchase, but they have been wondering how they made it. Well, there are details now about a couple paying off a hefty loan they had taken years ago. They decided to do so right when Christine had been demanding child support from Kody.
Sister Wives: Kody Brown Pays Off Big Loan Just When Christine Demanded Child Support
When Kody and Robyn bought their Flagstaff home for $890,000, they got an urgent loan for it. Then in 2021, the Sister Wives couple got yet another $130,000 loan from Alaska USA Federal Credit Union. As per the update on November 15, 2024, Kody has fully paid off the second loan.
When it comes to their $2 million mansion, they made a downpayment of $420,000 and took out a loan of $1.68 million. They did so to cover the rest of the purchasing price. Details reveal that Kody and Robyn will continue to put monthly payments in for this loan up until November 2025. This new home is supposed to be their “primary residence” now.
All of this is happening around the time when Kody and Christine are in a legal dispute. It’s over child support and custody of their 14 year old daughter Truely. The latter wants her polygamist husband to “establish paternity.” Since they were spiritually married, Kody’s name is not on Truely’s birth certificate.
Most fans have been finding Kody’s timing of paying such a hefy loan quite off just when Christine demanded child support from him. What do you think about this? Tell us how you feel in the comments below. Keep an eye on TV Season & Spoilers for all Sister Wives updates.
