After the premiere of the new season on February 14th, the audience thought the plural family was in a similar situation as they were when the previous season was on TV.

Sister Wives: Kody Teases An Emotionally Charged Season
Kody revealed that this season is going to be an emotional ride. According to him, fans can see their raw reality on Sister Wives. He says that they are all pouring out their feelings and being honest about how they feel. Watching it has been hard on the Brown family patriarch. Of course, to make matters worse, there is plenty of footage painting him in a bad light. It’s understandable that sitting through it can be hard.
He opens up about his experience with his wives. We have watched his relationship with Meri disintegrate over time. Kody admitted that they have been estranged for around three or four years even though Meri is his first wife. If it’s any consolation prize, they are amicable even though the couple doesn’t stay at her home or have a physical relationship.
On a positive note, Meri is still his wife and they see real progress. After the therapy, their emotional state is better. Speaking of being in a good place now, it looks like Kody and Christine have made peace after massive misunderstandings. He accused her of breaking coronavirus protocols and cited it as the reason behind not seeing her in person for some time. She thought that he didn’t like her and she also got a little jealous of him being with the other three wives. But they celebrated their anniversary together and things seemed to get back to normal.

As for his supposed favorite wife, Kody said that spending Quarantine with her was a little boring since they were focused on homeschooling the kids most of the time. As for Janelle, he didn’t mention her which was a little strange. While it doesn’t seem likely that there would be major problems between the couple. But there is a chance he might be avoiding some drama. We are going to have to tune in to the new season and let the story unfold for more details.
Fans have been wondering what Kody meant by estrangement. Since they don’t actively talk about physical relationships to avoid jealousy, he must have meant some lack of romantic feelings as well. Kody also mentioned in the Sister Wives trailer that sex and romance are for people who are in love. That automatically implies that he isn’t romantic with Meri or intimate.
