Sister Wives: Kody Didn’t Get Truely Custody? But Why?

Sister Wives star Christine Brown was the first one to leave Kody, and the latter took years to accept this fact. Apparently, all of their kids except Truely were adults. Hence, there was a question mark on the star kid’s fate, and fans prayed that Kody didn’t get custody of her. And the star kid ended up with Christine and has been living with her and David.

Amid all this, viewers wondered if David would legally adopt Truely or not. He has already walked down the aisle with Christine, and they are living together. The latter has also officially dropped her “Brown” surname, which further added to the narrative. However, the dynamics have completely changed, and now Christine is ready to sue Kody in court! What is this all about?

Sister Wives: Kody Isn’t Listed As Truely Legal Father On Her Birth Certificate!

Sister Wives star Christine Brown has finally dragged Kody Brown to court. She made this decision after three years of estrangement and filed a lawsuit on September 16. The celeb asked the authorities to list Kody as Truely’s father because his name wasn’t on her birth certificate. This was a shock for the audience as they believed that the patriarch was listed as the father of all his 18 kids.

According to the reports, Christine wants Kody to pay “child support” and “retroactive payments” for her 14-year-old daughter. As per Utah law, she could receive child support for almost four years from the date she filed the lawsuit. She further requested the court establish a “domestic relations injunction” between both parties. This would prevent Kody and Christine from harassing each other and making any demeaning comments.

Withoutacrystalball was the first one to break the news. She confirmed that if the court orders were followed, neither Christine nor Kody would be able to “disparage” each other in front of Truely. The source also pointed out the possibility of Christine blocking Kody from using any corporal punishment and forcing their daughter to follow their religion.

However, all of this would be possible only after Kody gets his name on Truely’s birth certificate. Moreover, it would be interesting to watch if the former couple’s “spiritual” marriage would create some issues during the lawsuit or not. After all this, fans are finally happy with Christine’s decision as they believe she is finally taking a step for herself and her daughter!
