She mentioned seeing her brothers talking about how strained their relationship had gotten with their dad in the last two episodes. This happened mainly to Gabriel and Garrison, and Kody had threatened to kick them out of Janelle’s house, too, for disobeying him. Gwendllyn looked back at those moments and opened up.
Gwen stated that it was strange seeing her brothers getting affected by Kody’s behavior. She mentioned that the family patriarch always treated the girls and women of the family this way. Hence, the 21-year-old was used to this behavior. She mentioned that Kody began doing the same with his sons, too. Thus, they started having a tough time dealing with not being “preferred” by their father. Christine’s daughter called the entire matter “exciting,” but in a bad way, as she had gone through such a thing all her life.

Without elaborating, Gwen stated that “spanking” is definitely a form of abuse for her. It happened during her childhood, and she would even get bruises because of the same.

Gwendlyn Brown also mentioned how her father would throw her up in the air in the form of “punishment.” She also said that the show mostly captures his “nice side” on their camera when in reality, the circumstances have been much worse. The castmate firmly believes that a parent can discipline their child in ways that don’t involve hitting them or getting physical with them. Since these allegations, neither Christine nor Kody himself has shed light on this matter.
