The Sister Wives Brown family are pure polygamy advocates and have promoted their lifestyle to the world via their family show. They claimed that because they decided to publicly announce their lifestyle, the church ‘Excommunicated’ them. But it seems there’s a lot more than the world knows about their story. As per some recent claims, the Church never ‘kicked off’ the Browns in the first place! So did they lie to the world? To know more, keep on reading.
Sister Wives: Did The Church ‘Excommunicate’ The Browns?
The Sister Wives feature the Brown family, which used to promote their polygamous lifestyle. They follow the Mormon fundamentalist group known as Apostolic United Brethren (AUB). This group claims to have around 10,000 members all over Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, Mexico, and Montana. They believe that polygamy is not just a lifestyle but a crucial step to achieving the highest glory of heaven. However, the Browns claimed that the Chruch excommunicated them because they decided to publicly showcase their life via their reality show.
But reality TV blogger Without A Crystal Ball claimed the opposite of it. As per Cheatsheet, the Browns were never ‘kicked out’ of the Church. This was just propaganda to simply disconnect the Church from the show. In addition to that, Katie Joy also revealed that usually, there were no official meetings to formally kick out the family. The Church and the Brown family wanted to allegedly portray that they were no longer connected and had cut all ties. Even when Christine decided to renounce her marriage, she claimed that she ‘left a long time ago’ when she admitted that she is no longer a part of the Church. Her statement further clarifies that the Brown family was never excommunicated.
Sister Wives: More Proofs That Denies The Claims Of The Browns
Katie Joy revealed that Meri’s mother, Bonnie was officially a registered agent for the church up until her death. She clearly had her name in the AUB and other associated establishments as well. The viewers have witnessed that Bonnie made several appearances on the show. So if the Browns were actually “apostates,” the matriarch couldn’t have associated with them. In addition to that, she wouldn’t have appeared on the show in the first place. As per the reports, if a person is an “apostate,” then by default, all the contacts of the person cease then and there.
But in the case of Browns, it wasn’t the same. They were in touch with many people who were still a part of the Church. Though they don’t attend any of the services of the Church yet, they can go and join them any day. As per the source, no one can ever ban them from attending any kind of public service. They simply wanted a “public” separation, but Katie Joy revealed that nothing has changed in real life. Hence, it was all for the show, and no one ever ‘kicked’ them off the Church.
