Well, the longtime Sister Wives viewers already must know that Christine’s great-grandfather was the founder of the Mormon sect, Apostolic United Brethren (AUB), also known as Allred Group based on his name, Rulon Allred. This makes her a “polygamist royalty.” Hence, the sect’s founder is also Christine’s daughter Aspyn’s great-great-grandfather. Shockingly, as per reports, her grandfather, i.e., Christine’s father, Rex Allerd, and Aspyn’s husband Mitch’s grandmother Evelyn Jessop were siblings. Due to this, they are third cousins. By this bond, Christine is also a cousin of Mitch’s father, Dennis Blaine.

Sister Wives: How Did Aspyn & Mitch Meet?

Apart from featuring their parents’ storyline, Kody, Christine, Meri, Janelle, and Robyn’s kids also get a fair share of the limelight. A few seasons ago, Sister Wives featured Christine and Kody’s daughter Aspyn’s beautiful wedding ceremony. It turns out that she met the love of her life, Mitch, in their church in Utah. However, they remained friends and lost touch with each other when they were off to college. But during a rally in Utah, they met again and continued to stay in touch until they began dating. Aspyn had admitted to having a crush on Mitch from the time she would see him in their church as a child. The audience finds it very amusing and often claims Aspyn’s love story is almost like a fairy tale.

At last, in December 2017, Mitch popped the question to Aspyn when they were in Seattle. The couple eventually tied the knot in 2018 in front of their near and dear ones in a beautiful outdoor ceremony amidst lush greenery. While their families have had a history of polygamy, Mitch and Aspyn remain monogamous. They indulged in the handfasting ceremony during their wedding. In this, the couple ties their hands with one another to signify their union and devotion to each other. Well, it has been five years since they walked down the aisle.
