Amazon Prime released the trailer for “Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets.” After following the reality TV family’s multiple controversies, fans were shocked to find out there is more to the story. While viewers from all over the world expressed excitement to watch it, the family hadn’t reacted to the trailer yet. But now it looks like the Duggars are trying to fight back and protect their reputation. In fact, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar finally opened up about this matter. They did so by addressing the release of the docu-series on their blog.
Duggars React To The Shiny Happy People Docu-series! What Did They Say?
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar attempted to bring forward their IBLP teachings and lifestyle through their shows “19 Kids And Counting” and also “Counting On.” But TLC pulled the plug on both these shows after a series of controversies concerning the eldest sibling, Josh Duggar. After being accused of molesting his siblings, the court found him guilty of possessing child porn resulting in a lengthy prison sentence. But the release of Amazon Prime’s Shiny Happy People made viewers realize that the roots go deeper than this. There is still a lot that they don’t know about.
As the docu-series has portrayed the Duggars in a bad light, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar finally spoke up about this. Apparently, the former finally made a post regarding the same on his family blog. Well, the couple found it to be “derogatory.” They also used inverted commas all the time for the word, documentary. Fans assume that’s because they don’t consider it to be one. They also called the Shiny Happy People series “sad” and believed it had the ill intention to “hurt people.”
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar further emphasized in their blog that they believed in repairing “damaged relationships” and “reconciling differences” in a “private setting.” At last, they concluded by emphasizing they have experienced multiple highs and lows in their life. Yet, they clung to the “love and grace of Jesus” to seek “comfort, strength, and purpose.”
Duggars Strategically Trying To Divert People From Watching The Shiny Happy People Docu-series?
The reality TV fans found it odd that the Duggars reacted to the news of the docu-series quite late. They averted from making any statements right after Amazon Prime released the trailer. However, they did so relatively close to June 2, the show’s release date. Hence, many feel that they are strategically doing so in hopes of deflecting people from watching the docu-series. Apart from their statement, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have started posting frequently on their blog space after months of hiatus.
They also had a special meet-up with all the Duggar family sisters and made a post about it on the blog. At the same time, Jed Duggar has been releasing lengthy blogs about his baby’s birth on his social media. He also teased that the second part of his blog would come out on June 2, i.e., the release date of the docu-series. Fans were convinced that these things were not coincidences but planned moves in hopes of protecting their reputation that Shiny Happy People would tarnish further. Keep an eye on TV Season & Spoilers for all the latest Duggar News updates.
