It has only been a little while since Seeking Sister Wife Season 5 aired on TV. Yet, fans already have so much to discuss and talk about. While two couples from the previous season joined the show again, many new families and faces also became part of it. One of the couples has been Becky and Justin Ryan. They have been married since they were teenagers.
As the new couple, also known as the Ryan family, became familiar to the TV audience, many were able to dig up things from their past. Well, something beyond shocking came into the limelight. It turns out Becky and Ryan may have ties to a vicious cult! What is it about? Are they aware of it?

As Seeking Sister Wife began airing on TLC once again, fans were eager to know all about the news families. So, they got to meet Justin and Becky Ryan. The couple grew up together and eventually tied the knot. They have 6 kids and are looking to add another wife to their family. Becky mentioned how she grew up in a community that accepted polygamy, and so did her church.
In fact, her father was a pastor in Becky’s church and also followed a polygamous lifestyle. Since her childhood sweetheart Justin was also from the same community, they never frowned upon this concept. But that’s not all. Fans were in shock after finding out something concerning. After a deep dive into their Facebook handle, a fan found out Becky’s stepfather is Tony Alamo.
Tony Alamo and his former wife, Susan, were famous as founders of Alamo Christian Ministries in 1969. Sadly, the latter passed away in the 80s, and the former remarried. His new wife was Sharon Kroopf. Alamo was responsible for promoting polygamy and taking child brides.
In 1990, Alamo was in prison for tax evasion, but his troubles didn’t end there. In Arkansas, way back in 2007, Federal Agents forayed from Tony Alamo’s compound for allegations regarding child abuse and SCAM. The court found him guilty of bringing kids across state lines for sexual activity in 2009. He had been in prison since then and breathed his last in 2017.
Seeking Sister Wife: How Is Becky Related To Tony Alamo?
As mentioned above, Becky Ryan has connections with Tony Alamo. Apparently, he was her stepdad. The sources revealed that Tony’s second wife, Sharon Kroopf, was previously married to someone else before she met him. Hence, Becky was their offspring. Every Seeking Sister Wife fan was surprised to find her talking about her stepfather positively in the show.
So far, neither Becky nor Justin has addressed this scandal. But many people already know about the wrath of Tony Alamo and his cult. There is also a documentary about this scandal available by the name of Ministry of Evil: The Twisted Cult of Tony Alamo on AMC+ and Sundance Now.
