A recent news about the most popular couple of TLC’s Seeking Sister Wife Ashley and Dimitri found themselves in some serious trouble. In the latest season of the show, they were courting two new women into their lives. However, while the season hasn’t even gone off the air now, one of the women, Christeline Peterson, filed a domestic violence case on the Snowdens. The news broke out only recently, which welcomed a plethora of hate and criticism against the couple. Yet, as per the latest updates, the case against them has been set aside. Let’s take a detailed look at what happened.
Seeking Sister Wife: Domestic Violence Case Against The Snowdens Tossed Over In The Court
On Wednesday, the news about Dimitri and Ashley being accused of domestic violence broke out. Christeline Peterson alleged that she was physically and sexually abused by Dimitri Snowden while she was staying with his family. She also accused Ashley of shoving her and preventing her from leaving their house. These allegations were pretty serious, and the Snowdens were receiving an ample amount of hate due to them. While a lot of people were waiting to listen to both sides, many of them were already in support of Christeline and her family.
In fact, the second woman that the Snowdens were courting, Tayler Monique, also showed her support for Christeline. People were mainly on her side because of the TLC couple’s past relationship. In the previous season, Dimitri and Ashley married Vanessa Cobbs, who divorced them within a week. Moreover, her reasons were also not very believable at that time. Hence, now that all the ladies they were courting have turned against them, fans found this case very creepy. However, the case has officially been put aside.
Christeline could not meet her burden of proof in the court. She initially testified for physical and domestic violence. The main incident that she quoted was when Dimitri allegedly slammed her head into the headboard of the bed. She also alleged that he choked her during sex after she told him to stop. However, as per a TMZ report, Dimitri was able to counter her claim by showing some text messages. In the messages, Peterson was saying that she liked the choking. As she wasn’t able to prove her allegations, the judge decided to toss the case aside. While all cases against Dimitri were now dissolved, Christeline’s accusations against Ashley were also dropped off.
Seeking Sister Wife: No Restraining Order On Dimitri Anymore, Fans Are Still Doubtful
Since Peterson couldn’t prove her claims, the case was tossed over, and so were the restraining orders against Dimitri. When Christeline accused the couple of domestic violence, she also got some restraining orders against the Seeking Sister Wife star. However, that is also dissolved now, and Dimitri is legally set free of those allegations. As of now, the entire fandom is split into two halves. While some believe Christeline’s story, others think this could just be a publicity stunt. As of now, it can’t be said which side is guilty in this situation. However, we hope that the truth comes out sooner or later.
