Royal Photographer Opens up about Prince Harry and Meghan’s Wedding
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary earlier this month. Even though the guests and spectators left the occasion in a joyous mood, the reports didn’t have a good time.
The Sun’s royal photographer, Arthur Edwards, opened up on how Prince Harry’s hostile attitude to the media led to bad wedding pictures. He said, ‘It was the worst royal wedding I ever did because Harry was determined to keep newspapers away.’ He added that it wasn’t just him who felt unwelcomed but the whole British press.
Edwards continued, “Everything was done on long lenses. I had an 800-millimetre lens photographing the guests arriving. The photographers they engaged for the job were 5 feet away. It was just hopeless.”
The 83-year-old photographer said that he was particularly frustrated when he had the opportunity to catch them in their carriage. But, they went past me and looked the other way.
Furthermore, Mr. Edwards mentioned that Prince Harry seemed angry because of the few things said about Meghan. There were harsh things said about the Duchess during the engagement, he acknowledged.
After two years of their wedding, Harry and the Suits actress stepped down as working royals and moved to California. The couple has openly slammed the British press in their Netflix 2022 documentary, ‘Harry and Meghan.’ They claimed there was ‘unconscious bias’ around race within Buckingham Palace.
