The US law is not letting Erika Jayne breathe the fresh air. RHOBH reality star is getting fiddled away in the fee splitting case. More so, as the case is moving forward, the court documents reveal that Jayne is acting out and hindering the investigation. Hence, it is giving her an unfair advantage in the legal action. So, why does the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills celeb not want the investigation to go smoothly? Let us tell you why.
RHOBH: Erika Jayne Accused Of DELAYING $5 Million Investigation!
Per PageSix, the Superior Court of California, an allegation has been made against Erika Jayne for hindering the investigation of a $5 million fraud. The California Franchise Tax Board has suspended Jayne’s company EJ Global on February 5, 2022. However, since then, Erika hasn’t done anything to get the LLC out of the suspension status. Therefore, the plaintiff’s attorney, Ronald Richards, argues that EJ Global obstructs a proper discovery process, and time is running out. The hearing is on July 21, 2022, and there isn’t much time left.
Hence, on Thursday, Ronald requested a ten-day deadline for Erika to get her company out of the suspension status. Therefore, Jayne must file tax returns to get the company out of the suspension. Meanwhile, the RHOBH celeb’s attorney, Evan C Borges, stated that EJ Global is a part of the mess that Girardi, Girardi & Keese, and the other accountants have dropped on Erika. He continued that the LLC has no records. Evan also claimed that Girardi and the others had managed Jayne’s finances. Therefore, the Real Housewives celeb isn’t a part of it.
At present, Jayne is trying to figure out how to file tax returns without any financial records, and it is not virtually possible to do it. Meanwhile, it is getting difficult for the plaintiff’s attorney to investigate the case further. Amid that, Philip R. Sheldon and Robert P. Finn believe that the missing funds funneled into Erika’s company for her lavish lifestyle.
RHOBH: Erika’s Attorney DEFENDS Her! Says The Plaintiffs Are Not Entitled To A Penny
Earlier this month, the RHOBH’s attorney filed his own motion to keep Erika’s financial records confidential. But, Ronald Richards responded in defense and stated that the motion was “meritless.” Richards also noted that the plaintiffs are powerless. And that is why they are investigating where their money went. Amid the argument, Borges called the plaintiffs and their attorney, “Twitter obsessed”. That’s because they want to expose their private financial information.
Evan voiced that the plaintiff wants to “threat of pay me money ‘or else’ I go public.” Borges also said that his client has not done anything. Hence, she will not pay a single penny to the plaintiff. Who do you think is at fault? Tell us in the comments below. And stay tuned to TV Season & Spoilers.
