Gina and Matt Kirschenheiter’s divorce finally happened in 2019. Then, the former came to the “Got It From My Momma” podcast for an interview in March 2024. The mom of three revealed that she and Matt have been successful co-parents for their children. Despite the two having multiple past problems, they resolved and ignored them for their kids.
Gina called her divorce from Matt “hard,” but they worked together to prioritize their children’s well-being over anything else. According to the Bravo star, she said it’s their responsibility to fulfill their roles as parents since they brought the babies into the world. After all, it’s not the kids who chose to arrive. Gina shared that she is happy with her co-parenting situation as they are great.

Over the weekend, Matt Kirschenheiter, 40, had a cardiac arrest, which Gina revealed on her Instagram. So, she gave fans a health update about him through her latest post. She shared that the financial planner is now home and posted photos of her and her kids visiting the hospital to see Matt. It was a Saturday when he got admitted to the hospital.
Calling the whole experience “scary,” Gina said that Matt had been rushed to the hospital moments after he fainted. So, in her post’s cover picture, she put a selfie of her with her nine-year-old child, Sienna, smiling. She bent down for her dad, Matt, who was lying on his hospital bed. Gina further explained that the unfortunate event shook all her kids.
Gina made her kids smile to assure them that their father, Matt, would be fine. In the second and third snaps, Sienna hugged her father and gifted him a cute teddy bear to wish him a speedy recovery. In fact, Gina didn’t forget to write words of appreciation for Matt’s present wife, Britt, for urgently taking him to the ER.
Gina added to her statements that her boyfriend, Trav Mullen, and their children are happy to get Matt back to life. Trav himself has three kids from his past marriage who have become a part of Gina’s bundles of joy. They are a blended family that stays connected to each other.
