It’s party time for Prince William and Princess Kate as their youngest son, Prince Louis, turns six today. The royal family will leave no stone unturned to ensure Louis has a big blast on his birthday. And here’s a fun tidbit- Kate Middleton holds this cute tradition called A Berry Royal Christmas. The Princess spilled the beans on this charming tradition in 2019 during a BBC special with Mary Berry. Read on to check out!
Princess Kate Has A Cute Birthday Tradition for Louis
In the BBC show, Princess Kate opened up about her love for baking. But here’s the kicker- she stays up until midnight the night before her kids’’ birthdays to bake a cake. It has become much of a ritual now- future queen behaviour alert! Moreover, Middlton even joked about going overboard with the cake mix and icing but that’s how she loves it.
Prince Louis was born on April 23, 2018, and stands fourth in line to the throne. He was christened Louis Arthur Charles at the Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace, by the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby. The royal lad goes to the private Lambrook School near Ascot with his siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Right before their Easter break, Kate announced her cancer diagnosis and treatment via an emotional video message.
Princess Kate highlighted the importance of explaining the situation to her kids so they understand and feel reassured about her condition. Meanwhile, Prince William dived back into royal duties last week after their kids went back to school. He assessed and helped at a food distribution charity called Surplus to Supper in Surrey. There, well-wishers of the royal family got him cards for Kate. Reciprocating their love, Will promised to take care of his wife.
No Birthday Portrait Of Prince Louis?
On another note, royal fans were left hanging after not getting a birthday photo of Prince Louis. Princess Kate and Prince William’s social media accounts stayed mum during the wee hours of his birthday. Usually, the royal couple share snaps of their youngest on his big day. This time around, it was just radio silence, but we’re not surprised. In the past months, the Wales family has been struggling.
It began with the King’s cancer battle, and soon, Princess Kate joined the cancer club after a few weeks. The Wales royals sensitively shared the news with their children before going public. But fret not, as Prince Louis has had his share of memorable moments. Remember when he joined his family for the traditional Christmas church walk? He has also attended notable events like the Westminster Abbey Carol concert and volunteered at the Baby Bank.
And let’s not forget about his adorable balcony appearances! As for his birthday celebration this year, it’s likely to be a low-key family affair after school. It’s possible that his grandparents, Carole and Michael Middleton, might join in. We’re sending warm birthday wishes to Prince Louis! May this year bring him even more joy and good health!
