Prince William All Set To Cheer For England At UEFA EURO 2024

This news comes just after Prince William recently showed up to cheer for the England men’s soccer team at St. George’s Park. The royal wished them luck for the UEFA EURO 2024 tournament, which kicks off in Germany on Friday. There, William got an insight into the team’s preparations, presented jerseys, and offered words of encouragement. The team shared a clip featuring the Wales royal on X/Twitter.

Wiliaml says, “I think the biggest thing I’ve learned from coming and seeing you guys over the years… is the togetherness.” Moreover, he wants them to know how much it means to everyone back home that they give it their all while playing! The future King also urged the players to play for themselves and the country. Next, he also shared some humorous advice from his kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

Prince William joked, “The best bit of advice I got was to eat twice the amount you normally would eat!” He revealed that the tidbit came from Louis! Later that day, the Prince of Wales flexed his soccer skills at a soccer festival before kids. He was mingling with the local school children at St. George’s Park. Anyway, this trip to Germany will be William’s second abroad journey in three weeks. On June 6, he graced the 80th anniversary of the D-Day Landings in Normandy, France.

William’s Trip Comes Amid Kate’s Treatment

Prince William represented the British royals at the commemorative ceremony at Omaha Beach. Additionally, the event paid homage to the sacrifices made on June 6, 1944, a pivotal moment in World War II. Over 25 head of state, European royals, and veterans turned up at the ceremony. The King and Queen of Britain also marked the anniversary in France. Charles and Camilla joined French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte, at the British Normandy Memorial at Ver-sur-Mer.

Furthermore, William’s upcoming trip to Germany is another solo engagement as his wife, Kate Middleton, remains MIA. Back in March, Princess Kate announced that she was undergoing chemotherapy for cancer and has opted to remain low-key since then. Thankfully, William updated a veteran on Kate’s condition during the D-Day anniversary event. The royal assured him that Kate is “doing better.” He added, “She’d have loved to be here today.” Here’s hoping Middleton emerges back all healthy.
