Prince Harry Looking To Put Down ROOTS In Britain? Looking For A Permanent Home Back In The UK [REPORTS]

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle moved to California in 2020 after he stepped down from royal duties. The Duke was born and raised in Britain. And all his childhood memories are from the same place. Keeping this in mind, reports suggest that Harry is determined to secure a home in the UK and have a ‘permanent’ base. A royal expert addressed this news; let’s find out more about it.

Prince Harry Wants To Have A ‘Permanent’ Base In Home Country

Prince Harry is reportedly on a mission to look for a stable place in Britain. Ever since he stepped away from royal responsibilities in 2020 and made a life in the US, the Duke has not lived in an official UK home. Harry also renounced his British residency earlier this year. He claimed America as his home in new paperwork.

However, he is still keen to have a base in the UK, especially now that he no longer has the access to formal royal residence ever since his eviction from the Frogmore Cottage.

Harry Wants To Move Back To UK

While addressing this issue, Royal author Tom Quinn said, “As time goes by, Harry misses some aspects of his old life in the UK. Inevitably, the honeymoon period, where everything in the States is new and exciting, is coming to an end. And Harry is looking back at the past through rose-tinted spectacles.”

Quinn also told The Mirror, “He misses his Old Etonian and army friends. Many of whom have not visited as they don’t get on with Meghan. Harry is determined to find his own permanent home in the UK. This is partly why he’s continuing his legal action to get the British taxpayer to pay for his security.”

The Duke Reminisces The Past

Furthermore, these claims come in after Harry opened up in his autobiography about his sadness while leaving Frogmore Cottage. Queen Elizabeth II gifted This Cottage to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in 2019. But, their time in that house was short-lived as they left the royal family and vacated it in 2020.

Even though Harry had hoped for a reunion, especially since the health crisis descended upon the royal family. However, the royal rift continued after the Duke’s autobiography was released. In addition, the royal family criticised his previous bombshell Netflix documentary.

Duke Wrote About His Experiences In ‘Spare’

Earlier this year, Harry was ordered to pay 90% of the UK Home Office’s legal costs for defending the court’s initial ruling. The decision also came in the royal family’s favour which said that there was no unlawfulness in taking Harry’s security in February 2020. Now that they don’t have a home, the couple has to stay with friends or in a hotel whenever they visit the UK.

As of now, Prince Harry and Meghan reside in their $14 million Montecito, California mansion with their kids. However, we might soon get to know that Prince Harry has bought a place in his home country. This will happen once Harry’s concern for security is solved in the court of justice.
