Prince Harry has been pretty vocal about his relationship with his big brother, Prince William. The Duke once even mentioned their bond was like the one with his own children, Archie and Lilibet. However, things haven’t been very peachy lately between Harry and the future King.
Their brotherly love hit a roadblock when the Duke started dropping inside scoop about his royal life and family dramas. He exposed his family in interviews, the Netflix series with Meghan, and even his memoir, ‘Spare.’
Prince Harry: The Duke Understands Dynamic with William Through Kids!
Back in 2023, Prince Harry revealed how having Archie and Lilibet helped him understand his dynamic with William better. The littles ones are about two years apart, just like Harry and William, who were born in 1984 and 1982, respectively. Moreover, Harry drew the age similarity during an interview with ITV’s Tom Bradby.
Prince Harry reveals that he now understands why Lili’s obsession with Archie makes the latter annoyed. “I get how irritating the younger sibling can be to the older sibling.” However, the Duke didn’t really grasp the feeling when he was a kid. Meanwhile, Harry’s memoir delves deep into their bro relationship.
Prince Harry claimed William pretty much ignored him when they both attended Eton College. As the younger brother, Harry wanted to hang out with Will in college after being ignored in high school also. “He didn’t want anything to do with me. And that hurt at the time.” Elsewhere in Spare, Harry accused William of getting physical during a confrontation with Meghan in 2019.
Prince Harry recounted that William called Meghan “rude,” “difficult,” and “abrasive” when they were all at his home in London. Soon, things got heated up, leading William to grab Harry and knock him on the ground.
The Duke revealed that the altercation left him a messed-up back from landing on a dog’s bowl. Ouch. We reckon it’s hard for either side to go normal, right? You tell us. Until then, stay glued to TV Season & Spoilers for your daily fix of Prince Harry!
