Coronation Street: Ian Peck To Introduce A New Range Of Crime In Weatherfield

Coronations Street is set to welcome another character to assist Harvey Gaskell in his villainous activities. Not to mention, the newcomer is from a background all about crimes- the web series Peaky Blinders. Ian Peck, who played one of the Shelby clan’s henchmen, will join Coronation Street next week as John Perry for a brief period. The spoilers say that John owes Harvey a favor; hence, he will help Harvey get out of prison.

Adam and Harvey had previously made a pact whereby Harvey would kill Damon in exchange for Adam defending him in court. In the upcoming episodes of Coronation Street, Harvey and Adam discover that the only way out is to blame Natasha Blakeman’s murder on someone else. Luckily, John agrees to confess to murder. However, his diagnosis of cancer comes as a shock to Adam, though.

It’s very likely that Ian will ace the role, as he certainly has the experience. Previously, the actor has given some of the remarkable performances in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, Silent Witness, Endeavour, and His Dark Materials. Meanwhile, Peck is a regular in Coronation Street. He has made multiple cameos in the past, too.

In 2009, he appeared as a prison officer named Lindworth when Fiz visited husband John in jail. He was featured again in 2015 as Denton, the thug who forced Callum Logan for money.
