Outdaughtered is a popular TLC show, following the lives of Danielle and Adam Busby and their quintuplets- Olivia Marie, Ava Lane, Hazel Grace, Parker Kate, and Riley Paige. They are also parents to their oldest daughter, Blayke, 13. The show documents how the couple takes on the daily challenges of raising their children.
Over the years, Danielle is often seen stressed out on the show. She shoulders most of the responsibilities of the Busby family, seemingly taking care of the children alone while her husband, Adam, handles the lighter tasks.
In a recent episode, Danielle discussed her motherhood struggles with her sisters, who advised her to seek therapy. Interestingly, Danielle had tried therapy sessions, which did not work for her. So, why does Danielle deserve a break? Continue reading to find out.
OutDaughtered: Danielle Prioritizes Her Children Over Herself!
The OutDaughtered star has seemingly exhausted herself as she juggles work and motherhood. Danielle runs a clothing store, Graeson Bee Boutique, in League City, Texas. The shop recently celebrated its second anniversary, indicating that the business is doing well. Her work commitments have prevented Danielle from being a full-time stay-at-home mom. Despite spending most of her time with her children, it still feels insufficient. Danielle may likely need to quit her work to fully focus on her children.
Danielle has often expressed her desire to have a nanny at home, but Adam usually disapproves of the idea. At one point, Danielle asked Crystak Mills, also known as Aunt Kiki, to look after the kids, and even she admitted that handling the kids is a challenging task. It appears that the Busby household needs a helping hand, or Adam should be more involved in the house.
Another way to avoid some of her stress could be having the nine-year-old quintuplets take on some chores. Danielle currently takes on all the housework, which eventually tires her. It would be beneficial for her to let her kids help with some tasks.
Danielle is often portrayed as the controlling one, while Adam is more easygoing. This dynamic is because the OutDaughtered matriarch voices her displeasure with how things run at home while Adam engages in fun activities. This personality trait influences how their six children perceive them.
Recently, Danielle has admitted that this situation has pushed her to a breaking point. In an episode, Adam enjoys a pillow fight with the children, creating a mess. In a private confessional, Danielle expresses that although she is happy for them, she is the one who has to clean up the mess. This highlights how tasks are divided in the house.
OutDaughtered: Danielle’s Sisters Advice Her To Seek Therapy
Recently, Danielle opened up about her motherhood struggles with her sisters. In a private confessional from OutDaughtered, Danielle said, “The struggle is, I love each of them more than they could ever know, but why do I still feel like I didn’t do enough for them?.” Her sisters advised her to take a break from her fast-paced life or she would explode.
Danielle expressed, “I feel the guilt just thinking about how I failed at this.” Her sisters suggested she seek therapy to get hold of her emotions. To this, Danielle revealed that she already went for that and it didn’t work out for her.
She explained that she only talked about her emotions which did not work for her, adding, “And so I don’t think I left with any kind of like real advice or something.” However, Danielle’s sisters advised her to consider therapy again and offered to join her for support. She added, “I’ve got six daughters and I don’t want to fail them because I’m not emotionally available.” Keep checking TV Season & Spoilers for all more updates on OutDaughtered.
