Meghan Markle had a bit of a wardrobe oopsie during an appearance at a children’s hospital last month. You really can’t keep the eagle-eyed royal fans from noticing these things!
The Duchess of Sussex swung by Children’s Hospital Los Angeles on March 21 to support their Make March Matter fundraising campaign. It was pretty cool, but little did Markle know it would be just another blip in her wardrobe malfunction saga!
Meghan Markle: The Duchess Suffers Fashion Hiccup!
Meghan Markle legit rocked the classy look in her Oscar de la Renta silk-chiffon dress (costing a whopping £2,700). She paired it up with black flat shoes by Aquazurra (£595). Moreover, she jazzed up her look with Cartier’s Gold Française Watch (over £25,000) and Ariel Gordon’s Tennis bracelet (£4,354). Talk about swankiness!
However, her loyal followers couldn’t help but notice a tear or something around the waist of her dress. They took out their phones to point it out on X/Twitter. One wrote, “Seriously?! Wow, embarrassing. (sic)” Another user tried to explain the hiccup situation, “I think it is more a zipper problem than a hole.” They believed the Duchess didn’t fully zip it up or it rolled down because it was too snug.
Additionally, the third user was like, “Nooooo did Meghan Markle not check it before she put it on?” Another agreed, “The shirt is split at the seam. (sic)” with the fifth person just leaving out the word, “Oh my!!!” Nevertheless, the fashion hiccup couldn’t stop the Suits actress from being super sweet with her gestures. She read three of her favourite books to the kid. These included Rosie the Riveter, Pete the Cat, and I Saw a Cat.
Furthermore, Meghan Markle even helped them with STEAM activities connected to each book. There’s this clip floating around where the Duchess was seen chatting and hugging the children and staff.
