Anna’s Cancer Journey Will Be Featured On New Season Of Mama June
Mama June recently shared the sad news of her daughter, Anna Cardwell’s demise. She passed away at the age of 29 after battling with stage 4 cancer for about 10 months. The celeb completed her chemotherapy sessions and was taking immunity treatment.
Amid all this, Anna and her family were well aware that her cancer was terminal and she wouldn’t be able to survive for a long time. Hence, she decided to document her entire journey and was comfortable with having a camera crew around her during the whole time.
TMZ recently confirmed that the franchise captured Anna’s cancer battle and was with her even hours before she took her last breath. They also accompanied her for a last family trip and documented each and every moment of Cardwell’s final days.
As per the reports, Anna herself wanted her cancer journey to be a part of the show as it will help viewers understand her struggles. She believed that the audience would be able to watch all the challenges that a cancer patient undergoes.
Yet the camera crew chose not to film the very last of Anna’s final days. They left the family with her and respected their privacy. However, as per the reports, Cardwell was comfortable in otherwise as well. But it was the franchise that decided to give Shannon’s family some solitude and peace.
Mama June: Was Anna’s Funeral Also Documented For The Upcoming Season?
Anna Cardwell wanted her fans to be a part of her funeral. That is why Mama June opted for an open casket ceremony and invited all her daughter’s viewers. The source even confirmed that the camera crew was a part of the services and attended Anna’s final journey.
But it seems that Anna’s funeral won’t be a part of the show. Apparently, the crew didn’t take their cameras along and attended the services like guests. They again wanted to respect the privacy of Shannon’s family and allowed them to mourn the death without any cameras.
