Lauryn, aka Pumpkin, has always been Honey Boo Boo’s biggest supporter. She is someone who held the latter’s hand when Mama June even abandoned her. She recently expressed her concern about Honey Boo Boo becoming a teen mom just like her. She explained how it was a family thing and feared that the latter would follow the same. But why? Why is Pumpkin concerned about Alana?
Mama June: Pumpkin Doesn’t Want Honey Boo Boo To Become A Teen Mom Like Her
Mama June: Family Crisis Season 7 is currently airing and is featuring Shannon’s family in chaos. Apparently, Honey Boo Boo has already graduated, and now she is going to make the hard decision regarding her college. She is still confused and is in a dilemma as she doesn’t know which university to choose or if she wants to continue her studies or not.
Above all this, Pumpkin’s pressure is evident on Honey Boo Boo. She wants the latter to get out of the state and explore her life and the opportunities that it has to offer her. She admitted to the cameras, “I really want what’s best for Alana.” Lauryn believes that the best in her sister’s interest would be to go to “a new different state with a new different slate.”
Lauryn admitted that she fears about Honey Boo Boo becoming “a teen mom” just like her, Mama June and Anna. She added, “It’s just a family thing.” The Mama June celeb continued, “Like, I don’t know. Just get out of here.” Though Pumpkin is pressuring her sister for her own good, it is evident that Alana isn’t able to deal with it and is getting frustrated because of it.
Alana couldn’t handle such conversations because they stressed her out a lot. She stormed out of it and stated that she was going to attend someone else’s graduation party instead of hers!
Mama June: Shannon Feels Alana Doesn’t Want To Go To College
Pumpkin is featured doing everything under the sun to make sure that Alana gets a bright future. She doesn’t want her to live the life that she has been living and is convincing her to attend college. On the other hand, Mama June is chill about everything and has left the entire decision-making to her daughter.
As per Shannon, it “doesn’t matter” if Alana chooses to stay with them and not go to a different state. She further believes that her daughter doesn’t even want to attend college and is simply under the pressure of her sister. The matriarch stated that Honey Boo Boo fears the “backlash” that she will receive from Pumpkin.
That is the reason why Pumpkin is concerned. She is watching Mama June “backing up” Alana and convincing her to continue her studies.
