Unfortunately, the star lost her mother during the Christmas season many years ago. As a result, this time of the year has been quite hard for her. That’s because the star holds “grief” and “joy” during holidays. The former TV star explained that it was around this season many years ago that she lost her mom in 2014. Alas, Isabel’s mother, Toni Garretson, lost her battle with breast cancer that year.
The TLC alum reminisced the time during Christmas from 2014 and talked of a “miracle”. Apparently, her mother was in the hospital, and little Isabel wanted nothing more than the former coming back home for the auspicious day. TV Season & Spoilers revealed that she recalled spending the night at the hospital and realizing the medical staff catering to the patients at that time. Roloff learned that they are actually angels for the work they do. Eventually, Izzy’s mother got to go home the “next day.” Thus, this was a miracle for her family.
Later on, the Roloff family member revealed that Christmas is different for her this year. That’s because she is a mother now. Moreso, she empathized with the people going through the same loss as her during the holidays. The new mother reminded them that it is okay to “feel sad”. The celebrity admitted that he wasn’t around much of the time due to travel. However, having him around holidays used to be a “treat.” The mother-of-1 was deeply affected by the loss. She also paid tribute to her sibling in a soul-stirring manner.
Isabel named her newborn son after her brother. Her little one goes by Mateo Tomas Roloff and was born on December 4, 2021. In one of her posts, the former celebrity had talked about coming up with the baby’s name many, many years ago.
