Hence, after he moves away, the TLC star is planning to pass over his farm to his sons. Here’s everything you need to know.
Little People Big World: Matt Roloff Plans To Retire In 2022, After Loss In Business?
The past year has been quite difficult for Roloff Farms. Unfortunately, it was closed during its most festive and profitable ‘pumpkin’ season due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Hence, in order to keep his business running, Matt Roloff took out a PPP government loan for $205K. Even though the farms have recovered after the initial loss, it still has a long way to get back to normal. Well, the Little People Big World previously had no plans of retiring anytime soon. However, an insider reveals to TheSun that he’s now thinking to retire alongside his current girlfriend, Caryn.
Well, the chances are that Matt and Caryn might retire by the end of 2022. They are possibly planning to move somewhere between Arizona and Oregon. While they already have a house in Arizona, they now plan to build their dream home together. Previously, he’s talked to his fans about how the ultimate scenario after his retirement would be the twin brothers Zach and Jeremy taking over the farm. He wants them to work together on it.
Little People Big World: Will Zach & Jeremy Take Over The Roloff Farms?
Now that Matt is planning to retire, he expects his sons to take over his business. Previously, both Zach and Jeremy have shared their interests in buying shares of the Roloff Farms. When Amy was selling off her share of the property to her ex-husband, Zach wanted to buy them instead. He talked about how he wants to take over the farm and is interested in running it someday. Well, that didn’t happen yet, but now that his father is retiring, he might step up to buy some shares.
On the other hand, Jeremy has always been vocal about his passion for the land. He and his wife Audrey have been working hard to be able to acquire a farm one day. Even though taking over the Roloff Farms is just an option for them, it might work out some time in the future. Now that Matt will be moving away, the twin brothers might take over the property together. Well, a source previously said that the Roloff children were quite happy to move out of the farm. However, given that they now have the chance, Zach and Jeremy might both step up to secure the position.
