After a controversial introduction to the Roloff family dynamic, Matt’s former farm manager Caryn Chandler was finally confirmed to be his girlfriend. As of today, she has become an important part of the family and holds much importance to the Roloffs. There are even rumors that the Little People Big World patriarch will soon tie the knots with Caryn. Amid this, she became a grandma for the very first time. Her son Connor welcomed a baby boy with his wife this August. But only a week after his birth, Caryn’s son pleaded guilty to a harassment case. Here’s are all the details.
Little People Big World: Caryn’s Son Pleads Guilty For Misdemeanor Criminal Mischief!
Caryn Chandler has now become a crucial part of the Roloff family. She still gets the tag of a “gold-digger,” but a lot of fans love her presence in Matt’s life. Hence, the news about her son’s arrest became a pretty controversial topic for LPBW viewers. It was revealed that Connor was charged with two counts of harassment against Caryn. On top of that, the 21-year-old then received two additional charges in May last year. These included “attempted use of physical force or the threatened use of a deadly weapon” alongside the second one, “did unlawfully and intentionally damage property, the property of Caryn Chandler.”
Now, exactly one and a half years after his arrest, Connor has pleaded guilty to the charges, as per an exclusive report by TheSun. After Caryn postponed the trial in June, the date was shifted to August 31, 2021. Hence, on the day of his scheduled trial, he pleaded guilty to “misdemeanor criminal mischief”. So, he was charged for “unlawfully and intentionally damaging property” of his mother. On the other hand, the rest of the charges were dropped against the 21-year-old.
Little People Big World: Connor Chandler Escapes Jail-Time, Gets Bench Probation!
While the charges against Little People Big World star Caryn’s son were quite serious, he did not get any jail time. TheSun reports that Connor Chandler received 18 months of bench probation. This means that the young man will be checking in with a judge rather than the probation officer. On the other hand, Chandler will have to complete 48 hours of community service as per court order, along with $200 in fees. While the harassment case has been dropped, Connor has been asked to have “no offensive touching” with his mother.
The harassment case was initially deemed to be very serious. But it seems like Caryn didn’t take long to forgive her son. Speculations say that the news of Connor expecting a baby motivated the Little People Big World star to forgive him. She even threw a gender reveal party for her son and his wife, Ashlee. On August 22, 2021, Connor and Ashlee welcomed their baby boy, Liam. Caryn announced the news on her social media with an adorable picture of her first grandbaby. LPBW patriarch Matt Roloff also congratulated his girlfriend for becoming a grandma.
