However, taking down an officer like her isn’t an easy thing. She is quite well-protected on all sides.

Now the question is, will the team be able to take her down? There is a lot happening on Line of Duty Season 6 Episode 5. Here is everything for you to know-

What Would Happen In Line Of Duty Season 6 Episode 5?

As we move into Line of Duty Season 6 Episode 5, we know that there are only very few episodes left. So, things will start moving rather quickly here on. The next episode, just like all others, will be on the quest to find out if DCI Jo is indeed corrupt or not. Now we can’t help but wonder what would come up in the next episode. This is the episode originated by Kate, so it will indeed be really a risk. One risky move, and every battle that she was winning will be lost.

The synopsis for Line of Duty Season 6 Episode 5 is out, and it gives us some insight on what could be coming up next. The synopsis for the upcoming episode reveals that AC-12 will link Gail Vella’s murder with a historical case of police corruption. Kate will come up with a plan that she plans to use for telling Jo once and for all that she is bent. The whole team is closer than ever to cracking the case. The synopsis also suggests that Hastings’ authority will be undermined, and that will leave the whole team in a very dangerous situation.

DCS Patricia Carmichael Is Coming Back!

This is good news. Line of Duty reports suggests that actress Anna Maxwell Martin is all set to come back to Line of Duty Season 6 Episode 5. She will reprise her role as Detective in Chief Superintendent Patricia Carmichael in the upcoming episode. The statement says that Pat’s back. However, Maxwell did not reveal any further details on the storyline or anything else; she did say that Carmichael will have a new clobber and she will bust some balls when she comes back.

The last time viewers got to see DCS Carmichael was in the fifth season when she came into the show as an independent Anti-corruption investigator from AC-3. She came in when the suspicions over Superintendent Ted Hastings’ integrity did hit a new high.

This character return will come up after Ted received some devastating news in the last week’s episode. He was called into a meeting and was told that they must force him to retire. Not only that, but Ted also came to know that AC-12 was being disbanded and merged into one department. With Ted’s departure coming up, would DCS Carmichael take over the control? Or, would she take over the restructure o the anti-corruption units that are now working? Could this all mean the end of AC-12? We will have to wait and watch.
