Kate Middleton Issues A Personal Letter Of Apology
The Princess of Wales has been out of the public for several months as she receives treatment for cancer. She sent an optimistic message that she hopes to return to her duties very soon. The future queen, who everyone loves, wrote to the Irish Guards and apologised for missing the final rehearsal for Trooping the Colour.
Kate is the Colonel of the regiment and she wrote, ‘I do hope that I am able to represent you all once again very soon. Please send my very best wishes and good luck to all involved. I’m very sorry that I’m unable to make this year’s Colonel’s Review.’
Furthermore, the mother of three was not able to attend a military parade on Saturday. She is going through preventative chemotherapy treatment for cancer, adding that she hopes to be back very soon. In addition, Kate extended her best wishes to the Colonel’s Review in London.
She said, ‘I wanted to write and let you know how proud I am of the entire regiment ahead of the Colonel’s Review and Trooping the Colour’ in the letter. ‘I appreciate everyone trooping this year has been practising for months and dedicating many hours to ensuring their uniforms and drill are immaculate,’ she added. She further mentioned that it is a ‘great honor’ to be Colonel and apologized to the whole regiment for not being able to represent them this time.
While responding to Kate, The Irish Guards stated that they were ‘deeply touched’ by the future queen’s letter. They also wished her a speedy recovery and sent their best wishes while she battles cancer.
