Jay and Pamela prepared to say “I do” to each other on their wedding day, as shown on TLC. The pair met through their genetic disorder, which required them to use motorized wheelchairs to move around. When the producers asked them about their plan to welcome children, they said that one day, they would hopefully fulfill that dream.
“I mean, it’s conversations that we’ve had about it,” Jay told the crew. For now, he and Pamela have adopted a dog. They named it Cheddar, who accompanied them as they walked down the aisle. Although the couple wants to expand their family, this is still an ongoing topic of discussion. It’s not off the table, but parenthood is a huge responsibility for the duo at the moment.

Jay and Pamela are thriving in their five-year relationship. Their love endured all the hurdles and struggles. They are stronger than ever and always bravely overcome life challenges. According to Jay, his parents were informed by doctors that he wouldn’t make it after 5 years. Pamela added her family also faced the same situation. They were told that she would die within one year. However, they both survived and built a difficult yet beautiful life together. So far, they have broken 400 bones with the simplest movements.
After meeting in person, Pamela and Jay were in a long-distance relationship. She left Kansas City to stay with him in Georgia. Currently, they reside with Jay’s mom and dad. However, they are on a hunt for a suitable house. He said he frequently suffers chronic pain, so physical activity becomes tough for him.
Jay and Pamela visit their orthopedic surgeon, Dana Olszewski. The doctor revealed that most patients with the same disease die due to lung problems.
