Gypsy Rose Blanchard rose to fame after being convicted of murdering her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, who physically, mentally and medically abused her. In 2022, authorities released Gypsy from Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri. At that time, she married Ryan Scott Anderson. However, the two broke up only three months after her release.
She later moved on with Ken Urker, her fiance prior to Ryan. The pair recently made headlines after announcing that they are expecting a girl. The news shook the world as Gypsy remains married to Ryan. Moreover, the child’s paternity is still unclear. Recently, Ryan revealed that he has no other choice but to take the DNA test for the baby. However, why is it important? What did Ryan say about this? Let’s find out!
Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s Estranged Husband Ryan Anderson Must Take DNA Test To Determine Her Baby’s Paternity!
Earlier in July, Gypsy Rose Blanchard announced that she was expecting a baby with her boyfriend, Ken Urker. The news sent the world into a frenzy, with many debating about the baby’s paternity. Gypsy put the rumors to rest, clarifying that Ken was indeed the father. However, Gypsy’s ex-partner, Ryan Anderson, might still be legally listed as the baby’s father.
To prevent any legal confusion, Ryan now must take a DNA test to confirm the baby’s paternity. On Saturday, August 10, Ryan shared on TikTok that he has to undergo the test as it is a legal requirement under Louisiana state law. The situation is, however, more complicated than this. Gypsy Rose remains legally married to Ryan despite their divorce filing in April.
Under Louisiana law, if a woman gives birth while married or within 300 days of a divorce, her husband or former husband is presumed father. To ensure Ken is named as the baby’s father, Ryan would need to sign an affidavit confirming Ken’s paternity. Otherwise, a DNA test will be necessary to establish the child’s true parentage.
Ryan confirmed in his livestream that he would indeed take the test. “I have to get a DNA test. I don’t have a choice.” He said. Anderson continued, “I hate being in this situation.” During the live session, He also expressed his support for Ken. “I’m glad that community loves Ken. But hopefully, if you are here with me, you are team Ryan,” he said, ending his message.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard Announces Separation From Ryan Anderson Three Months After Prison Release!
In late March, Gypsy shared an update on her relationship with Ryan on Facebook, announcing that the pair had called it quits on Facebook. The news came only three months after Gypsy’s release from Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri. She had served eight years for murdering her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, with her then-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn.
“Unfortunately, my husband and I are going through a separation, and I moved into my parent’s home down the bayou,” she wrote in the statement. “Right now I need time to let myself find… who I am,” she wrote, concluding the message.
