Gypsy recounted the day of Dee Dee’s conspired murder in detail. She covered her ears with her hands as she went to the bathroom and sat on the floor. She then heard her boyfriend stabbing her mom 17 times in her back when she was sleeping. Before the murder, her boyfriend entered her room without making noise. Dee Dee was startled when she saw him standing next to her. Soon after the murder, the lovers stole $4,400 and moved to a motel.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard released her memoir last Tuesday to share some unsettling memories of the murder incident and childhood. She executed the murder in June 2015 with her then-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn. While she pleaded guilty to the second-degree murder, she revealed that she was a victim of Munchausen by proxy. She also shared that it was her mother who always portrayed her as a sick child for years.
Nicholas was arrested for first-degree murder and sentenced to lifetime imprisonment. After serving a jail sentence, Gypsy is now a free woman. In her memoir, she mentioned that she met Nicholas on a Christian dating site in 2012, which quickly turned into an explicit relationship. She blamed him for manipulating her to meet his sexual demands.
If Gypsy would fail to comply with Nicholas’ “sexually perverse ideas,” he would allegedly threaten her to withdraw his love from her. Hence, she obeyed him without a proper understanding of BDSM.
