The Primetime Emmy award-winning series, Godfather Of Harlem has recently released its action-packed trailer for Godfather Of Harlem Season 2. It teased that they are ready to fight head to head. Well, the trailer itself speaks that this season is gearing up to make a rough path for Bumpy Johnson. Apart from that, the Godfather Of Harlem will expand its world with another addition to the cast for its second run.
Godfather Of Harlem, which debuted back in September 2019, is inspired by the infamous crime boss Bumpy Johnson’s real-life events. Bumpy returned to his place eleven years after his imprisonment and found the Italian mob ruling the streets. He had to take down the Italian mob to regain his powers. However, during the battle, he meets Malcolm X and allies to wipe off the group using political forces.
Godfather Of Harlem Season 2: Trailer Teased Return Of Devious Bumpy
In the last season, Bumpy battled to claim his powers, but this time he’s more interested in eradicating them. Bumpy seems fighting against the New York Crime Families in the trailer to control the fruitful French Connection, the only heroin conduit that runs from Marseilles to New York Harbor. However, some Black crime bosses from major US cities lead to the distribution of the cartel. But it raised trouble in Bumpy’s life.
He shortly gets a clue from his alliance Malcolm X’s message of Black economic nationalism. Now, Bumpy will face challenges from the Italian mob, his wife Mayme, and daughter Elise as well. Further, prosecutor Robert Morgenthau and rival Adam Clayton Powell will only create more chaos in their life.
Godfather Of Harlem Season 2: Major Cast Additions
Recently, the reports revealed that Justin Bartha, Ronald Guttman, and Annabella Sciorra would join as recurring roles in the second season. Justin will play Robert Morgenthau, a profoundly moral man. Robert is an incorruptible U.S. District Attorney who hopes to use Bumpy. Sciorra will play mob boss Joe Bonanno’s wife, Fay Bonanno. Whereas Guttman will join as native Frenchman Jean Jehan, the ruthless and cultured man who handles the import of heroin.
Even Issach De Bankolé and Gino Cafarelli are all set to recur. Cafarelli will join as Fat Gino, a die-hard believer in the importance of the Mafia’s rules and regulations. While Issach will recur as African Frenchman Monsieur 98, who’s a man of words and known for producing pure heroin. He has joined hands with kingpin Jean Jehan to smuggle extreme quantities of heroin over the United States.
Some New Faces Will Appear As Guest Stars
Cliff “Method Man” Smith as Sam Christian will join as the Philadelphia Black Mafia’s head and Bumpy Johnson’s longtime friend. Michael Rispoli will join as Joseph Magliocco, the Profaci crime family head. But, Joesph will quickly face some loyalty tests in the middle of the New York Mafia battle. Neal Matarazzo will join as Captain Mills and Grace Porter as Betty Shabazz. Demi Singleton and Erik LaRay Harvey have been upped to series regulars in the second season.
