Brad Cooper entered the General Hospital for the first time in February 2013. Thus, this month marks the character’s 10th anniversary on the famous ABC soap. However, we don’t really get to see Brad as much on the screen as we would like to! He has been a formidable ally to Dr. Britt on General Hospital. Even when she first started to struggle with the onset of her Huntington’s disease, he was by her side. She opened up to him about her fears, and he was always there to lend her his ear and shoulder.
It’s heartening to see that he is back on the screen to be a part of Dr. Britt’s memorial on General Hospital. He has lost a dear friend, and he deserves to mourn her on screen. However, this also puts another important point in perspective and brings a huge question to light. For the most part of his stint on the ABC soap, all his storylines have been linked to and centered by the Britch. On his own, Brad never had anything major to do. So where does Britt’s death leave him?
Apparently, we are not the only ones wondering that. General Hospital fans have been raising the exact same question online! A user, retiredjourno, expressed that Brad made them cry with his presence at Britt’s memorial. Moreover, they wish to see him get a storyline of his own. And, of course, another friend, now that he has lost Britt. Although, another user, vegas_gal, fears that Brad won’t be on screen now because all his storylines were with Britt.
While everyone unanimously agrees that Britt was Brad’s only storyline on General Hospital, it does not necessarily has to stay that way. If the makers wish to keep Brad on screen, there are many ways to give him a good storyline. He is a qualified Doctor! And after Britt’s passing, there surely will be more openings at General Hospital. Maybe Brad can fill in for her. Or if the makers want to give him a dark twist, Austin Holt wants to break free from treating criminals on the down low! Perhaps Brad can replace Austin in the Boss Lady’s ring! And if they’d rather not make him so dark, they can stop at a charcoal gray, and Brad could run a gambling racket alongside his aunt Selena! What say? What would you like to see Brad do next?
