Long-time General Hospital fans would undoubtedly remember Tyler Christopher, who played the role of Nikolas Cassadine back in the time. Tyler played the character until 1996, before he finally left the soap. The actor was, later on, recast with Marcus Coloma, who, even now in the face of Nikolas Cassadine. However, recently Tyler Christopher reunited with his ex-cast mates and dropped some big news.
These ex-cast mates included Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos), Leslie Charleson (Monica Quartermaine), and Joyce Guy (Phyllis Caulfield). We would have loved it if this had happened on General Hospital sets because that would mean that Marcus is coming back. However, it actually happened when Marcus appeared on Maurice Benard’s show- State of Mind. All of them spoke about their struggles with mental health.
While this wasn’t about him coming back to General Hospital, there are some indications that could build up to a return. Recently, Tyler moved back to California from Ohio and is now settling in San Diego. Tyler is open to coming back to the soap opera. So, would he come back? TV Season & Spoilers recently speculated that there is indeed a place for Christopher’s return. Would General Hospital writers and producers look into it?
Steve Burton had to leave General Hospital because of the vaccination mandate. So, if GH decides to recast the character down the line, Tyler Christopher could be a good option. We know that he played the character of Nikolas back in the time, but we also know that soap operas are usually a little fluid when it comes to characters and storylines. So, we wouldn’t keep it past them to bring Tyler back.
