Jason Morgan’s return is one news that has the entire massive General Hospital fandom united in celebration. A large section of the soap’s audience was heartbroken when GH killed Jason Morgan back in 2021. As fans already know, Steve Burton was axed from the soap due to his non-compliance with the COVID-19 vaccine mandate.
“I left the show a couple of years ago; everybody knows the whole story,” the General Hospital star told ABC7 Chicago’s Tracy Butler. And we agree! What the whole fandom wants to know now is how will Jason return home. Steve Burton expressed his delight on his return by saying that Frank Valentini did a fantastic job of breaking the news. “One door closes, another one opens,” that’s what he said in his Instagram post. Steve stands by his statement by asserting that’s how he has lived his life.
What To Expect From Jason’s Return On General Hospital
Pointing that when General Hospital stint ended for him, he was able to go to Days of Our Lives for a bit. But now that that door has closed, GH’s doors have opened again. Again, circling back to the burning question – how will he be written back into the canvas? “All I know is I’m buried in a cave in Greece somewhere. That’s all I know, Steve shrugged.” So we guess we will have to wait for those episodes to roll out to see how exactly Jason returns.
However, there is one thing that Steve knows for sure, and he has said it before. The soap star admitted that he always wanted to return to General Hospital and retire from there. In fact, he also hinted that he only plans to continue his acting career for another 2-3 years. Hearing that really broke our hearts. Because Jason has not even really returned yet, and Steve is talking about retiring. But then, we can still hold on to hopes that he may change his mind. After all, he did say that “it is just a feeling.”
