The latest General Hospital-related scoop suggests that everything is about to shake up on General Hospital. Viewers are well aware that Sonny and Carly are on the verge of getting divorced.
But Maurice Benard, the actor who plays Sonny talked to his fans on Twitter and told them their prayers were about to be answered. Does that mean that CarSon might not be over yet? Here is everything about it.
General Hospital Star Maurice Talks To Fans On Twitter
First off, Maurice took to his Twitter and said that Gangster Sonny was going to return. He also added that he is bringing Sonny back with Nina. GH fans do not like the pairing of Sonny and Nina. Long-time fans have been shipping CarSon since GH broke them apart. In fact, fans have been very vocal about how heartbroken they are about Sonny and Carly’s separation.
It’s been a long since the storyline has rolled out. So, Maurice’s fans recently asked him about the CarSon relationship. To ease the fans a little, the actor answered some questions. He said that he loves working with both actresses. But viewers will see Laura pushing Darley. He also added that CarSon is on hold for a bit, but it doesn’t mean that it’s over just yet.
Benard also stressed on how this is a soap opera, and anything can happen here. He mentioned if all of this were a real story his family would have changed the locks and thrown away the key, but sadly it’s not. Maurice informed his fans that Sonny would not be the same one after all that he had been through.
On Twitter, he wrote, “It’s not gonna be the same Sonny after amnesia and falling in love with another woman. But I will say,” he added that we might see the badass Sonny. He continued, “I have to play true to the story. He can’t be the same, Sonny, but you will get many different sides. You might not dig it, and that’s all right.”
After reading some fans’ comments, he realized that fans do not accept Drew and Carly’s pairing or Sonny and Nina; they just want CarSon to get together. Fans told him they hadn’t enjoyed the show since Sonny and Carly’s separation. But, Maurice said that he loves everyone’s opinion, but he has to stop for some time and go for a walk.
