Roger Howarth Opens Up About His New Character
In a recent interview with Soap Opera Digest, Roger opened up about his new character. He says that he is 100% excited about coming back to the soap opera. He has been in General Hospital for years; however, coming in as a new character makes him a little nervous. In fact, he is feeling a little negative energy about this new guy Austin. Roger says that he has been taping new episodes as Austin for about five weeks now, but he is still trying to figure out this character.
Roger, who has played the character of Franco Baldwin and Todd Mannings on General Hospital in the past, says his biggest challenge is to make Austin look different. The actor says that he cannot really change the way he looks; however, he can change how he talks or walks. So, he is still figuring that whole thing out. Then Roger revealed that the executive producer of the show- Frank Valentini, has told him what he needs, so, right now, Roger is just juggling with several different inputs and trying to work with it. Concluding the whole interview, Roger says that he really hopes that audience enjoys seeing this new character. Some great stories are coming in for Austin.
General Hospital: What Will Happen For Austin Next?
Right now, Austin is helping detective Dante Falconeri as he tries to find apparently missing Baby Louise. However, the summer preview for General Hospital reveals that Austin will have connections with an influential General Hospital family. So, that means his storyline would be connected to one of the powerful Port Charles clans. There have been a number of speculations about who this could be. Would it be the Corinthos, the Quartermaine, or the Baldwin? We will have to wait to know more about that.
Speaking of Austin’s connection to Port Charles, since he looks exactly like Franco Baldwin, fans have been wondering if he is somehow connected to now dead Franco Baldwin. In the recent General Hospital episode, when Austin was brought to the hospital, Liz attended him. There was a scene where it looked like perhaps Liz could sense a resemblance. Could Austin somehow be connected to Franco? While he might not be the identical twin, what if he is Franco’s half-brother? Anything is possible when it comes to this storyline.
