Storms, who temporarily left the soap opera for brain surgery, had been taking time off to recover. Now, she is back in action. Recently, General Hospital’s official Instagram posted a story that featured Kirsten Storms. They captioned it with, Maxie’s back. This is indeed the kind of news that all General Hospital fans had been waiting for.
Kirsten, who has been playing the role of Maxie Jones since 2005, was last seen in July. After that, her character went off to Texas with her kids. This departure was because Kirsten, 37, has been struggling with some health issues. On June 4, 2021, Kirsten posted an Instagram story where she was wearing a neck brace.
Then, she revealed that she had undergone brain surgery. The actress revealed that she had a cyst in the lower part of the brain, and they had to remove it. She further revealed that she has been having random health issues over the years, but she thought it was because of the side effects of medicine or age.
Although then, Storms came to know that she had a rather large cyst in the lower part of her brain. She went for an MRI after severe neck pain that she had been experiencing for a few months. But then, she came to know about this and had to undergo surgery.
Back in the time when she had updated fans about this, Kirsten also revealed that she was taking a few weeks off work. She said that she would be back when she is recovered. Everyone was waiting and wondering when she would be back. Now, we know that she is back in action. The last time viewers got to see Maxie was on July 19, 2021, after which she left for Texas with her kids Georgie and James. General Hospital usually films four weeks in advance. So, viewers can expect to see Kirsten back on screen sometime in the last week of August. This is exciting news indeed. Viewers must not forget to tune in and catch up.
