General Hospital gave the viewers a major shocker when Sonny got arrested in Friday’s episode. The underworld kingpin had been involved in many less than legal activities over the years. But the clutches of law have never been able to clench him too tight, until now. So what gives? Josslyn perhaps! She had been so adamant on turning him in by using the proof Dex collected. Yet, it somehow feels off. After all, GH surely does love to throw some red herrings our way every now and then. So if Joss didn’t do it, who did? And why? Well, keep reading to find out!
Fingers Point At Joss, But Has She Really Done It?
The second news got out that Sonny Corinthos has been arrested, his family sprung into action. Of course, led by Carly o General Hospital. Just like us, the gang too felt that Joss may have had an involvement in the arrest. However, Joss was way too flabbergasted by the news to have set the wheels in motion for this one. Thus, Carly, Michael and Dex eventually believed that she did not give the flash drive to the fed.
But Joss’ innocence gave them a much bigger mystery to ponder on General Hospital. While it is true that many people have beef with Sonny, but hardly any of them have the guts to actually do anything about it. Thus, the family, as fractured as it may have been all this while, finally huddled together to figure out how to get Sonny out.
Oh, including Joss, by the way. As strange as it may be, she really did look affected by Sonny’s predicament. In a recent chat with Soap Opera Digest, Eden McCoy (Joss) admitted that knowing it has actually happened has had a different effect on Joss. “It hits her a lot deeper than she perhaps thought it would.” she added. So if nothing else, this crisis has at least healed Sonny’s family bonds!
But Who Really Dunnit On General Hospital?
There is a saying that reality is often stranger than fiction. But General Hospital loves challenging that notion! Thus, how far fetched would it be to believe that Sonny could have cooked this coup himself? For days he had been brainstorming with Anna and Brick to figure a way to draw out Mason’s mystery boss. What if Sonny planted some doctored evidence against himself and let the feds arrest him. Think about it! If Mason’s boss, presumably Cyrus, was hiding himself from Sonny, then with the dimpled don behind bars the boss has no need to hide!
Perhaps that’s exactly what Sonny is counting on. Once the boss reveals himself on General Hospital, Sonny could drop the facade. The news of his arrest has already spread through town. The spoilers for week of September 4, 2023, reveal that Cyrus will find out about it and taunt Drew over it. This could just be the beginning! Cyrus might completely lower his guards and finally declare his real motives. And BAM! That’s when Sonny will get out of prison with Diane’s help. The planted evidence could be doctored and won’t stand in court! Especially not with Diane there!
