Viewers of General Hospital were left a little confused when they saw a new face walking on the surface of Port Charles. At first, it felt like a new mysterious character has stepped in, but it quickly became clear that it was the iconic dark prince, Nikolas Cassadine. However, it wasn’t Marcus Coloma playing him, it was actor Adam Huss. The change in casting spiraled a frenzy amongst fans. Marcus’s fans started to worry if their favorite actor had been replaced. But, much to their relief, Adam is only temporarily filling in for the much-loved GH star. Marcus himself confirmed the news and also opened up about the reason behind his absence.
The much-loved General Hospital actor posted a video of himself on his Instagram account to address the matter. An array of messages flash on the screen as Marcus dances in the video set to the tunes of, Carly Rae Jepsen’s new single “The Loneliest Time.” In the messages on the video, he shared that he contracted COVID a month ago. Dancing to the words, I’m coming back to you, baby, he wrote that he would be back on the screen next week. He thanked his fans for all the “lovely love” they sent his way.

His GH co-star, Nicholas Chavez, left a fun comment on the post! He believes there isn’t any problem in Marcus’s life that dancing cannot fix!
We are very happy to know that Marcus is feeling better now and will return to General Hospital soon. While actor Adam Huss has done a brilliant job as stand-in Nik, but, Nikolas Cassadine doesn’t feel the same without Marcus. Moreover, the fact that a major storyline is in motion on General Hospital with Nik in the center of it, just wouldn’t work the same without Marcus. So stay tuned to ABC over weekdays to make sure you don’t miss his return on General Hospital.
